Flying Perfect was a "happenstance" band that came together in 1996 when drummer James Liehe introduced Songwriter /Producer Broz Rowland to Marc Chenhall and his wife Heidi Oberman. It was "happenstance" in the sense they originally met together in Chenhall's garage just to "jam and see what happens." What happened was a few gigs over the course of two years and a fair amount of collaborating between Chenhall and Rowland--both seasoned songwriters. The band generally had fun, enjoyed each others company, produced some recordings "in the garage" that Rowland eventually finished to become this album (several years after the band disbanded). Mid-stream of the project Broz's brother Philip moved to Colorado and joined the project as lead guitarist (and why he's not seen in the earlier album-photo of the band). Flying Perfect disbanded mainly because both Chenhall and Oberman had serious careers in place and the band for them was more of "a hobby." Broz and Philip, on the other-hand, were looking to produce records with the possibility of getting signed, garnering radio airplay and possibly touring. So they decided to keep their working relationship alive with drummer James Liehe, eventually launching The Dreamers project, which later morphed into The Rowland Brothers who continue producing recordings to this day.
